Tea Party

Rest assured the title is not meant to lead us in a British ceremonial or political activism. Tea is just very present in my life. Actually, heaps of tea take up a large part of my kitchen. I always offer some to people who visit simply because I can’t put my hands on the diet coke because my other half seems to think it’s a highly private good that shouldn’t be shared.

There are multiple types of tea, many ways to enjoy them. Today I’d like to take another angle on the stuff: mugs. Yep, the mug can be seen as a social phenomenon with far reaching impact. To the point that there is a tumblr dedicated to it: Mug Shots. How do I know this? Simply because one of the most rocking chicks I know in this town came up with the concept. I’m pretty sure her mug has seen more White Russians than Earl Greys but hey, a mug is a mug.

Here are a few useful links for the road. And remember kiddies: 90C is for black tea, 80C for wulong and 70C for green tea. This gibberish means nothing to you if you are in the U.S.. Just like Fahrenheit is a strange word that very few Europeans know how to spell.

Kusmi tea – when Russians make tea, it turns awesome. I mean Traktir is one of the names in there and they have bison herb tea, smells just like the famous bison herb vodka…
